London ExCel Business Show 2018

It’s that time of year again, thousands of businesses descend to the London ExCel business show in search of new and exciting ways to do business.

The doors open at 10am and within seconds the room is filled with the hum of eager entrepreneurs sweeping the exhibition stands trying to find their business product of the year (and perhaps the all-important goodie bags).

For startup businesses, the business shows are an absolute necessity. It is a place filled with energy and potential. Everything you need to know about starting a business is available in one place, be it accounting, web design, marketing, you name it. It’s all under one roof and best of all, this mass of information and expertise is available for anyone.

Whether you’re expanding your existing business or starting a brand new one, there is always so much to think about and it can become quite daunting. When people who have been through it and made the mistakes for you, it can only be beneficial to hear their stories. This years show hosts a class leading line up with guests such as Simon Woodroffeand, founder of Yo Sushi and YOTEL, Rachel Elnaugh, former dragon on the Dragons Den and plenty more industry leaders from all over the world. A wealth of business experience offering tips and advice on your own business ventures.

Our advice for the show is plan ahead. Have a look at the speakers and decide who you want to listen too. Make a note of the workshops, masterclasses and exhibitors you want to see and create a timetable. This allows you to really get the most out of the show. Arriving unprepared can leave you missing out important bits you really needed to see, I can vouch for this first hand.

Take a notepad and pen, there is going to be a mass of information to take in, organize your thoughts on paper and make it much easier to get started once you get back to work. If you forget a notepad and pen, head to stand 476 we’ll give you one!

Our final piece of advice is simply to enjoy it, we have great fun every year, it’s an exciting place to network and really get a step up on the business ladder.
