Plymouth Pride 2019

Plymouth Pride 2019

We are proud to announce our sponsorship this August for Plymouth Pride 2019. The colourful, loud and proud Pride Festival returns to Plymouth Hoe on Saturday 10th August, celebrating and promoting the diversity that exists within the LGBTQ communities. Thanks to the crowdfunding page exceeding its target amount, the event will be free to attend for everyone wishing to join in and show support and acceptance of Plymouths diverse people and talent.

Plymouth Pride 2019 with Tamar Telecomminucations

Dr Alan Butler, co-director of Pride in Plymouth announced:

“Pride in Plymouth is a community interest concern set up to support the LGBT+ communities of Plymouth throughout the year. While we love our annual event on Plymouth Hoe, and the visibility it gives our work, it is so important that we are able to continue our awareness work in schools, with businesses and statutory agencies all year around. That also involves supporting the growing number of LGBT+ asylum seekers in the city who have fled persecution and danger to become part of our community. We’re so grateful to Tamar Telecommunications for recognising all of this and partnering with us this year for Plymouth Pride 2019”

The event promises to be an exciting day with 6 hours of live entertainment already booked for the main stage. This year Plymouth Pride 2019 announced a brand-new acoustic stage with performances from 1pm-5pm.

Start the day with the parade! Departing from the Jigsaw Garden at 11am making its way through the City Centre to the iconic Plymouth Hoe for the main festival with live music, fun fair, children’s rides, selection of food, licensed bar and lots of fun activities for people of all ages. Meet at the Jigsaw Garden at 10am for some pre parade activities and make the most of the day!

You can find out all the information for the day on the Pride in Plymouth website.
